    This batch of XTR Spiders is supplied with 4 high-grade custom titanium bolts, ready for direct installation. As compensation and to avoid waste, this batch is offered at a price 30% lower than the regular version.

    During production of a new batch of XTR Spiders, a machining setup error resulted in the small chainring mounting threads being cut as M8 × 1.25 (standard coarse thread) instead of the intended M8 × 0.75. The issue was discovered and corrected after only a small number of 104 BCD units were produced, but the completed parts could not be reworked.

    This difference only affects the small chainring mounting threads. The middle and large chainrings are completely unaffected in terms of structure, strength, or function. When installed using the included titanium bolts or other correctly matched hardware, safety and performance are not compromised.

    For riders using a single-ring (1x) drivetrain, the small chainring mounting function is not used at all. In real-world use, this thread difference plays no role whatsoever. For this reason, single-ring users are actually the most suitable buyers for this spider: in their setup, the product performs identically to a standard version, while effectively being purchased at a 30%+ discount—equivalent to a fully functional, non-issue product at a significantly reduced price.

    To accommodate different needs, we also offer a no-bolt version, intended for single-ring users or buyers who already have suitable hardware. This option is priced even lower, providing an additional level of discount. However, we still recommend choosing the version with bolts included: you may not know whether your setup will change in the future, and these bolts are custom-made in both specification and shape, meaning they are not available separately on the market. Having them included now ensures long-term flexibility.

    This spider is manufactured to XTR specifications. With the use of thicker spacers/washers, it can also be adapted for compatibility with XT and LX systems.
